So you're saying that this takes place two years before Project Showdown opens? That's what I've gathered so far, but I just want to make sure I'm on the right track here.
my origional post here said somthing to the effect that DA was not the man in the vid because he dies in saint, but then I commented below that that we could ressurect him via the books. I changed it so the spiolers wouldn't show on the main page for those that don't know yet.
This event is in our future as far as years are concerned, but is happening to us now. The trilogy, fyi, has still not happened yet according to the books, but DA has said that Showdown already happened and the kids are older.
I'm thinking this game is being played ignoring the time factor. All the books obviously take place in the future, so I think we should assume we are playing in the "future" (post raison strain/ PS).
I think it is happening after Showdown, but before Saint, and that the two people might be... Marsuvees Black and... maybe one of the other bad guys...???? This is extremely confusing, but I'm sure it will all be explained either tomorrow, when the contest starts or at the end of the contest.
Im new to the game, but thought i might chime something in here. Dont quote me on this, but i am willing to believe that Black, from Showdown, is not dead, and is not who we think he is.
What closed sign, Jeremy? And has anyone considered that Ted chose Frank Miller as a name for a reason. The whole Sin City comic thing? And on Ted Dekker's website it said two days left. Does that mean the contest is over in two days? I am so far behind because even though I am a huge fan of Ted and have read around 15 of his books I didn't know about this contest till a couple days ago.

Yup...can't be him. Maybe he gets kidnapped, but he can't die.
lol-and it's good to see you edited the password out of your blogpost. =)
we could resurrect him with the books however.

Oh wait, scratch that. It takes place between Showdown and Saint?
seems like it...this is all a bit confusing though
I think he got captured from this "secret facility" which means we are trusting someone we shouldn't be...
i think it takes place during the 15 year gap
now the question is...
Who is in the hoodie
obviously its frank miller...and Qurong...working together...
this is the only possible solution
jk

Just a thought. The books aren't written in a linear fashion, rather a circular fashion. So couldn't it be taking place over different timeframes?

Did anyone see the closed sign on flicker?

There were random pictures popping up on the flickr page before the poster was released.
I believe it to have been one of his rabbit trails.
As far as the comic book thing with "Sin City" is an interesting proposition.
